Amra Feni Basi USA (আমরা ফেনীবাসী ইউএসএ) is a nonprofit community organization for people of Feni district, Bangladesh, now living in the United States. What began as a Facebook page connecting scattered Feni families has grown into an organized community with hundreds of households across Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, New York, and beyond.
Our motto — একসাথে মিলি বন্ধন গড়ি, আমরা সবাই ফেনীবাসী(“Together we build bonds, we are all people of Feni”) — captures why we exist. Life in America can be far from the warmth of home. We recreate that warmth here: reunion picnics, Eid gatherings, iftar mahfils, and cultural nights where our children hear the language and taste the food of Feni.
But our hearts remain tied to home. When floods devastated Feni, Parshuram, Fulgazi, and Chhagalnaiya, our members across America raised funds and worked with trusted volunteers on the ground to deliver food, clean water, and medical supplies to affected families — with every distribution documented transparently for our community.
The organization is coordinated by a volunteer admin panel of founding members, including founding member Naimul Chowdhury, and is funded entirely by member contributions. In September 2026 we are hosting our first national reunion (১ম পুনর্মিলন অনুষ্ঠান) at Fort Hunt Park in Alexandria, Virginia — the largest gathering of Feni families in America to date.
What we stand for
Unity
Every person with roots in Feni — Feni Sadar, Chhagalnaiya, Daganbhuiyan, Parshuram, Fulgazi, or Sonagazi — is part of one extended family in America.
Culture
We keep the language, food, and traditions of Feni alive for our children growing up in the United States through festivals and cultural programs.
Support
From welcoming newcomer families to standing beside members in crisis, we look after one another the way neighbors do back home.
Giving Back
Distance does not weaken our bond with home. We mobilize relief for floods and hardship in Feni district whenever our people need us.
